We got up Monday morning to a bad situation. Something, probably a coon, absconded with 11 of our 17 chickens. We don't know how it happened. The coop is several feet off the ground, covered with wire, and the only door has a lock that takes two hands to open. The kids accepted it pretty well, better than Clayton. He was highly upset. So now we have 6 chickens, including Macho Man, pic we posted, left. The kids have one each of theirs, Clayton has two, and then Macho Man and his hen, who lay the Easter eggs. They are a month old.
